Revealing Us by Lisa Renee Jones
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
I loved the first two books in this in this series and have been looking forward to the continuation. However, I felt that something was lost between book one and book three, and most of it has to do with the characters. The storyline itself is still good, but there have been so many changes to the personalities of those we fell in love with in the beginning that they are not even the same people anymore.
In the beginning of the series Sara was strong and independent. She questioned herself (who doesn't?), but she still went after what wanted for herself. She followed what she believed in. The Sara in this book was constantly second guessing herself and Chris, as well as making poor, immature decisions. Chris's character likewise took a turn somewhere from dark, rough, and sexy to insecure and hesitant. Luckily, the intensity between the two is the same – maybe even hotter.
I enjoyed this story and the dynamics between the two characters, but I was expecting this to be the end and have everything wrapped up, as the series had originally been advertised as a trilogy. However, this book was kind of a filler for what is to come.
I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
