Tested
(New World #3)
by Janelle Stalder
New Adult Dystopian/Romance
Sometimes the heart sees what is invisible to the eye.
Faced with the scariest decision of her life, Missy is going behind enemy lines to save the rebel that seems to haunt her every dream. Finding courage is one of the hardest things she's ever done, especially when she comes face-to-face with a terrifying reality. The green eyes that have fascinated her, no longer gleam with recognition. Now Missy must find a way to not only get them out alive, but to save the mind of the man who is quickly capturing her heart. And she must do it all without getting caught. Put to the test, will Missy be able to rise above her fears and find love, or watch it all blow up in smoke?
*This book is for mature audiences due to sexual situations, violence and strong language.
4 out of 5 stars!
In the third book in the New World series, quiet and shy Missy makes one of the hardest decisions in her life – to infiltrate the enemy's camp in order to help a friend. Terrified and alone, she puts herself on the line for the one thing in her life worth fighting for – Tyler.
I love Missy. I love how she was able to step out of her comfort zone, not only to help Tyler but to let herself trust him. Tyler is a character I loved getting to know more about. In the first two books we only got glimpses of him, but they were enough to provoke my curiosity about him. My favorite thing? Seeing the two of them together. Missy has a lot of hurt in her past dealing with men, and Tyler is nothing if not a man's man. He is all muscle and tallness and sexy Scottish accents (Mmmmm...Yes, I would speak his lines out loud using his sexy accent. Don't judge.). He is possessive and dangerous and incredibly scary, but he's all soft and sweet for Missy...even when he's not completely himself.
Tested continues the plot that developed over the first two books and also brought a new exciting direction to the story. Once again, I cannot wait for the next book!
