I was drawn to Shattered Secrets for its amazing cover and interesting premise. After a bad date, Abigail thought her boy trouble was her worst problem until she is kidnapped and stuffed into the trunk of a car. Derick Crawford, the love of her life, comes to her rescue, but Abigail's kidnappers are still on the loose. Abigail doesn't understand why she was kidnapped until Derick reveals the secrets that have kept them apart. All the people she knows and loves are not what they seem including herself. While on the run for their lives, Abigail and Derick will learn more about who they are and the abilities they possess. Will Abigail save the world or start the apocalypse?

While I enjoyed this action-packed story with its well developed characters, the continual explanation of who and what they were became tedious. I also found the ending to be anticlimactic. I will say give it a try and see what you think of it.
