I saw this article posted to Facebook titled " Colbie Caillat Is Tired of Being Photoshopped: Here's What She Did About It ."  I admit, I don't usually watch videos or click on links like this through Facebook, but this one caught my attention.   To summarize the article, Colbie Caillat made a music video to make a statement on unfair beauty ideals and the power of Photoshop on models/celebrities.  I didn't want to post the whole story here (I wasn't sure about Copyright stuff), but here is the link so you can read it yourself.  It's very powerful.  http://www.elle.com/news/beauty-makeup/colbie...

My 19-year-old daughter has been searching for the perfect design for her "first" tattoo.  My guess is that after she sees how much it hurts, it will also be her last tattoo :) In the process of looking at different designs, we have come across some tattoos that can only be called bad ideas.  I have a feeling the story behind most of them start out with... Well, I had been drinking ....Have you ever seen the show Bad Ink?  Love it!    So in tribute to what hopefully will turn out to be a wonderful memory rather than a later regret in life for my daughter, I've found some ba...

This week's post is a tribute to my favorite TV show.  Now, I don't watch a lot of TV.  I  much prefer books :)  However, there are some shows I just can't miss.  Thank God for Video on Demand from Mediacom for those rare occasions when I have to miss a show!     My top five shows: 1. The Walking Dead 2. The Voice 3.  Believe 4.  Chopped 5.  Ok, so I don't actually have five shows that I watch regularly.   So, this post is a tribute to The Walking Dead.  I admit, when I first saw TWD I was pretty grossed out.  I can do bloody and gory in books, but I don...
