Make Me Wet by Nara Malone
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I love anything shape shifty, and selkies are no exception. This is only the second selkie book I've read, but they are becoming a favorite of mine. In this short but sexy story, Maille is trying to understand the odd things going on around her when she crosses paths with Ronin. Ronin, a selkie set free only once every seven years, wants only one thing from the woman who freed him with her tears.
I loved the chemistry between the characters from the very start. Maille is a great female lead. She was smart and strong enough to hold her own against Ronin. Ronin is everything a girl wants in a man – sexy, passionate, and demanding but at the same time sweet and understanding. Both characters had internal struggles to overcome, and I thought the author did an excellent job of creating a full complete story in a novella length book. The magick and mythology introduced in this world are quite interesting, and I'd love to learn more about that aspect of the story.
I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
