Night of the Living Demon Slayer by Angie Fox
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I received this from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Night of the Living Demon Slayer is what I have come to expect from Angie Fox and the Demon Slayer series...a well written story with plenty action, suspense, humor and let's not forget the steamy romance. Can anyone say Dimitri? He is one "Hot" shape-shifting griffin who just happens to be Lizzie's husband!
Lizzie is on a mission to help Carpenter down in New Orleans. Nothing is ever simple when Carpenter is involved much less Voodoo. Lizzie will have her hands full in the Big Easy when dark voodoo is at work in the bayou. Good thing she brought along the Red Skulls, her grandma's biker witch gang. They are useful when magic is involved. They are using a haunted mansion as their base of operations...too bad there is something really dark living in the attic. The situation quickly escalates when the dead are walking the streets. Lizzie may be a demon slayer, but how can she stop the dead from rising?
Lizzie is one kick-ass demon slayer who is always up for a challenge. She knows what her weakness is and that would be magic. Her spell casting is a disaster and that's where the biker witches come in handy. The biker witches may be senior citizens, but they know their way around spells. They are good to have in a fight and will definitely be needed in this one. I wasn't sure Lizzie would pull this one off. What does the future have in store for Lizzie, Dimitri and the Red Skulls? I enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend it along with the rest of the series.
