Shevaun DeLucia, author of the Eternal Mixture series, lives in upstate New York with her husband, four children, and two dogs. As a stay-at-home mom while her children were young, she fell in love with reading. She indulged in the small moments that took her away from the reality of her loud, rambunctious household, bringing her into a world of fantasy. Q & A with Shevaun DeLucia

Q: Describe your ideal writing spot.
I love writing in bed and in my new mini-office. My oldest son likes to call it an “invisible cubicle.” Haha!

Q: Who designed the covers for your book and what was that process like for you as the author?
George Parulski was the photographer/graphic designer for both of my books. Working with him is an experience I will always remember! He’s amazing! Did I mention he is amazing? Lol.

Q: What is the best advice you have been given?
There are always people who would love to see you fail. Surround yourself with positive people and just go for your dream.

Q: How do you keep busy when you're not writing?
I have four kids and a part-time job. That pretty much says it all.

Q: If you could have any superhuman ability, what would you choose and why?
I would read minds like Edward Cullen! Who wouldn’t want to hear what everyone is thinking?

Q: Which do you prefer: hard/paperbacks or ebooks?
Paperbacks.

Q: What book are you reading now?
Fifty Shades Freed. I now see what the hype was about. It’s a great series.
