“You're still beautiful and dangerous and incredible, and I'll keep
telling you that for as long as it takes you to believe it. But right
now, all I want to do is kiss you, except I'm terrified that if I try
you might throw me off this balcony.”

Title: The Eternity Cure
Series: Blood of Eden #2
Author: Julie Kagawa
Hardcover, 434 pages
Published April 30th 2013 by Harlequin Teen
In Allison Sekemoto's world, there is one rule left: Blood calls to blood
She has done the unthinkable: died so that she might continue to live. Cast out of Eden and separated from the boy she dared to love, Allie will follow the call of blood to save her creator, Kanin, from the psychotic vampire Sarren. But when the trail leads to Allie's birthplace in New Covington, what Allie finds there will change the world forever—and possibly end human and vampire existence.
There's a new plague on the rise, a strain of the Red Lung virus that wiped out most of humanity generations ago—and this strain is deadly to humans and vampires alike. The only hope for a cure lies in the secrets Kanin carries, if Allie can get to him in time.
Allison thought that immortality was forever. But now, with eternity itself hanging in the balance, the lines between human and monster will blur even further, and Allie must face another choice she could never have imagined having to make.

My Thoughts
Another favorite series for me. Zeke is human, Allie is a vampire. Their relationship is most definitely a rocky one. Allison doesn't feel that she can trust herself around Zeke, but Zeke will will stop at nothing to convince her that they should be together - human and vampire.

DeleteWow, that's a great quote! I have a friend that highly recommended this series to me....just gotta find the time to read it! :)
ReplyDeleteMake the time! Do you listen to audiobooks? I have the first one on audio and loved the narrator.
DeleteI need to read a book by this author. I have heard good things. What book should I start with if I read something by her???
ReplyDeleteI love everything I've read by her (pretty much everything she has written!), but I would suggest The Immortal Rules. It's my favorite!
DeleteThe Iron Fey series is more fantasy/fey, while Blood of Eden is dystopian/vampire.
Thanks for the rec. I will check it out.
DeleteOmg I'm reading this book right now! Eeeek, Zeke <3
ReplyDeleteLove!! I just recently finished the third book in the trilogy. I had been putting it off because I didn't want it to end :)
