Release Me by J. Kenner

Release Me (Stark Trilogy, #1)Release Me by J. Kenner
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I've read my fair share of sexy billionaire meets young professional, and I'm actually tiring of all the similarities between the books. So what made this one stand out to me with all the other stories similar to this one out there? The writing and the individuality the author put into her story. This is the first book I've read by J. Kenner, and I am looking forward to more from her and this series.

Nikki is the young professional. She has had pressure put on her her whole life to be perfect. The trouble is she knows she's not perfect and she is tired of trying to be. The thing I liked most about Nikki is she tried, she tried hard, but she still was insecure in herself and her abilities. Despite her doubts in herself she has made a good life for herself. Damien is the sexy billionaire. Young, confident, dynamic…you get the picture. He is the kind of man who is used to getting his way.

When Damien and Nikki cross paths, sparks fly. Their connection and subsequent 'relationship' is bound to ignite the pages. The author has done a great job at fleshing out her characters and bringing them to life on the pages of her book. Her story is well written, emotional, and captivating.

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

One Less Warlock by Judith Post

One Less Warlock by Judith Post My rating: 4 of 5 stars I think it's hard in a short story to create a unique setting, characters, etc., and still get some sort of story line in. In One Less Warlock, Judith did an excellent job of molding the story in such a way that we got a taste of a distinct world and character personalities, and a complete story to go with it. In this short story Judith was able to pack in witches, vampires, a sexy Were, succubus, voodoo, murder, and mystery, all in only about 20 pages. Pretty amazing. I enjoyed the story and Babet, the main character, and am looking forward to more of her in the future. View all my reviews
