Q & A with Andrea R. Cooper

Q:  Tell us a little bit about your main characters.
Sheri, Thank you for having me.
A:  Crystal has had her childhood stripped from her. Westridge CEO framed her father for their crimes and she’s spent years training to be a thief to prove her father’s innocence. She hasn’t had time for dating or men… until Kade.

Kade is an undercover cop searching for a thief who’s been targeting Westridge’s Board of Directors. He’s drawn to Crystal, but things are not adding up.

Q:  Describe your ideal writing spot.
A:
Any place with a keyboard. LOL. No, really. I work full-time now (I was a stay-at-home mom for four years which is the hardest most underappreciated job there is), juggle the kids, housework, etc. that when I have time to write, it’s my zen.

Q:  What is the best advice you have been given?
A:
Writing advice? Get others (not just family) to read your writing. I’ve learned more since I joined a writer’s group and found my wonderful Beta Readers, than I did in years of writing alone.

Love advice? Love is worth the wait.

Q:  How do you keep busy when you're not writing?
A:
How do I not? LOL. I have three kids (two boys and girl), a husband, full-time job outside of writing – I’m lucky I have time to sleep J On really good days, I squeeze in Zumba.

Q:  If you could have any superhuman ability, what would you choose and why?
A:
Healing. I just would like to take away suffering (physical, mental, and emotional) from people and let them live full, healthy, happy lives.

Q:  What book are you reading now?
A:
Don’t you mean ‘books’?  I read several books at the same time. I’ve got The Violet’s of March by Sarah Jio on CD in my car for a book club I’m a member of, T’monique Stephens’ Encore and T.F. Walsh’s Cloaked and How to Love a Jackeroo that I’m Beta Reading for them, and for fun – Redeemed by P.C. and Kristen Cast.
