ARC provided via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Wicked Ride is a great beginning to a new series by Rebecca Zanetti. I loved her Sin Brothers series, so I knew I wanted to give this book a try. I'm glad I did.

Alexandra Monzelle is one tough Seattle vice cop with something to prove. Not only is she a woman in a predominately male job, but Alexandra is trying to establish that she is nothing like her drug dealing, convicted felon father. She may look delicate but don't let that fool you...Alexandra has trained hard to get where she is. Alexandra is trying to track down leads on a new deadly drug when she encounters Kellach Dunne who mistakes her for a damsel in distress. She quickly proves that is not the case. Who is Kellach Dunne? Does he have anything to do with this deadly drug? Will Alexandra's attraction to Kellach hinder her investigation?

Alexandra's childhood was shaped by an abusive, drug dealing father who was sent to prison when she was young. She knows what drugs can do, so Alexandra works hard to get them off the street. Alexandra protects her family and those she loves. Alexandra and Kellach have sizzling chemistry...sometimes combative but always interesting. Rebecca Zanetti knows how to write an action-packed story with some seriously hot love scenes mixed with some paranormal intrigue. What can be better than that? I would definitely recommend it and look forward to what happens next.

One Less Warlock by Judith Post

One Less Warlock by Judith Post My rating: 4 of 5 stars I think it's hard in a short story to create a unique setting, characters, etc., and still get some sort of story line in. In One Less Warlock, Judith did an excellent job of molding the story in such a way that we got a taste of a distinct world and character personalities, and a complete story to go with it. In this short story Judith was able to pack in witches, vampires, a sexy Were, succubus, voodoo, murder, and mystery, all in only about 20 pages. Pretty amazing. I enjoyed the story and Babet, the main character, and am looking forward to more of her in the future. View all my reviews
